Guadalupe R Cruz, age 85 years old went to be with the Lord on August 25,2023. She passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 3rd, 1938, in Santa Elena, Chih, MX. She was a homemaker.
Mom was truly blessed with 14 grandchildren, one being her consentida Cori Ortega. She had 5 great grandchildren. She was also a fur grandma to 4 fur babies. Mom loved to cut jokes and was always up for a cruise. She loved to eat out with her family any chance she got. One of her favorites passed times was catching up with old friends and talking about the good old days. Everywhere she went, she knew someone she had many friends. Mom loved her family. She has one brother that survivors her, Carlos Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. She helped raise numerous nieces and nephews with one she called her own, Guadalupe Lupacho Jaquez. She was loved by so many of her nieces and nephews. At this time, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to them for being there for her when she needed them the most.
Mom was known for being a momma bear. Her prized possessions were her daughters. No one could ever tell them anything except her. There wasn’t a day she didn’t bless us and there wasn’t a day she wasn’t a diva. She was our beautiful momma that loved us immensely and was so proud of her girls. A piece of our hearts went away with her. Life will never be the same. All we knew was to take care of her, but now we are going to take care of each other. Thank you for being who you were. Today we strong women because of your strong character and heavy hand. Like you would say,“no soy agua bendita para callerle bien a todos. Y yo no tengo pellos en la lengua.”
She is survived by her daughters Norma Chacon, Laura Cruz/Karen Jones, Antonia Maribel Ortega/Margarito Ortega, Shelsea Cruz and Vicky Cruz/Manuel Herrera. She is preceded in death by her husband Julian H. Cruz, daughter Rosemary Chacon, several family members.
We would like to give a special thanks to our sister Laura Cruz and Karen for always taking care of mom. For the lifetime of support and care. Special thank you to Dr. Li, Desert Milagros Dialysis (Especially to her nurse Cheyenne) Carol’s Ambulance, TAC Ambulance, Intern Home Hospice for the great care given to mom.
