Gloria Elizabeth Pitman

She was born May 23, 1935, in Ardmore, OK. Gloria graduated from Odessa High School in 1954. On October 23, 1959, she married Donald Pitman in Odessa, TX, and together they had one son, Wesley. She retired from the Odessa Country Club in 2008, after 38 years of service.

Gloria was very proud of her nieces and nephews and attended many school and extracurricular activities to support each of them. She was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ until it closed in December 2013. Since then she had attended 6th and Jackson Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and a brother.

She is survived by her son Wesley Pitman of Odessa; brother James Wolf and wife, Nelda of Haltom City; sister Rosanna Tabor of Morgan; niece Donna Gentry and husband, Ronald of Odessa; nephews Gary Weaver and wife, Brandy of Corpus Christi, Dennis Pitman and wife, Tami of Odessa, and David Pitman and wife, Merijo of Longview; great-nieces Misti Smith and husband, Boe of Odessa, LaDona Ruiz and husband, Adam of Odessa, Rachel Allen of Longview, TX, and Nicole Brulloths of Corpus Christi; great-nephews Jason Gentry and wife, Jennifer of Odessa, Justin Pitman and wife, Ashley of Odessa, David Pitman of Longview, and Austin Weaver of Corpus Christi; great-great-nieces and nephews Abigail Gentry, Kamryn Ruiz, Brooklyn Ruiz, Presli Smith, Sara Allen, Araeya Cockren, Jeremiah Allen, Josh Allen, and Carl Cockren.

Family visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 24, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Leo Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
