She was born July 11, 1963, in Clarksdale Mississippi. She moved to Texas in 1965 with her father Jimmy Dixon and Mother Eddie Lee Dixon, which preceded her in death. Florence attended Blackshear and Ector High School.
Later in life she married John Willie George Jr, whom preceded her in death. She was a faithful member of Mackey Chapel in Odessa Tx.
Florence leaves to cherish her memory two loving children Silky Dixon and Chacoby Dixon. Brothers and sisters; Natchez Dixon, Lillie Dixon Session, Steve Dixon, Tammy Dixon, Winston Dixon (Wanda Dixon), Kattie Dixon Willis (Alvin Willis), Jimmy and Dorothy Dixon both preceded her in death. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
A public viewing for Florence will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A funeral service @ bethlehem baptist church will occur Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1000 w Clements Street, Odessa, Texas 79763. A burial will occur Friday, July 14, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E I-20 Business Loop, Odessa, Texas 79762.
Serving as pallbearers are Steve Dixon, Winston Dixon, Dominic Dixon, Chacoby Dixon Jr, Alvin Moss Sr, Ronnie Fisher, Natchez Dixon, Alvin Willis and Silky Dixon.
