Ezra Gale Holliman was born in Sidon, Arkansas, July 28, 1930 to Gladys Mae and Earl Madison Holliman. He left this world to be with our Lord and Savior, at the age of 88 years. Gale met his soul mate of 66 years, Patricia Ruth Merical. They married October 4, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were blessed with three daughters, Deborah Whiteside and spouse, Fred, Denise Otwell and spouse, Adrain, Deanna Holliman, three living grandchildren, Danyelle Holloway, Laci Holloway and Joshua Stephens, spouse, Lindsay, and two great-grandchildren, Colt and Zane Stephens. Gale has one living sister, Wilma Hamilton of Searcy, Arkansas, as well as two sister in laws and brother in laws, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patty Holliman, parents, Gladys and Earl Holliman, sisters, Maxine Boyles, Loisteen Johnston, grandchildren, Jesse Daniel and Amanda Gale Stephens.
Gale was an active member of 60 years at Bethany Christian Church, active member for over 50 years of the Scottish Rite and Masonic Lodge. He served as one of the original founders of the Oil Show Board then known as the Association of Oilfield Service Companies (AOSC). Gale was a member of Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He served in the Army from May 1951 to May 1956, fought in Korea and upon returning to the United States served as a Military Policeman.
Gale was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved God, his country, family and his many friends. He loved getting up and going to work every day, retired at least three times and kept going back to work.
Services will be held at Bethany Christian Church at 10 a.m., 46th and Everglade, Odessa, Texas, Saturday, November 17, 2018 with Military Honors to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa, Texas.
Visitation will be held at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home, Friday, November 16, 2018 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
