Memorial Services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Immanuel Baptist Church.
Visitation with family will follow the service. Bill Duaine Cook was born in Murchison, TX on March 13, 1933.
Bill married Dorothy Wallace on April 1, 1953 in Abilene, TX. Together they raised a daughter, Karon, and a son, Conley (deceased).
Bill began pastoring in 1952 and served numerous Southern Baptist churches through the years, including a tenure of 29 years at Immanuel Baptist Church.
In retirement he also served as chaplain at Hospice House in Odessa. He was a beloved pastor, husband, father, and granddad, known for his big heart and bad puns.
Bill is survived by his wife and daughter and by his granddaughter, Emily Austin, all of Houston, TX, and his sister, Merlene Slaughter of Kerrville.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Kenya Missions.
