Betty was born in Rising Star, Texas on April 16, 1950, to the late Anna Viola (Polly) and Moody Tennison, She graduated from Permian High School in Odessa, Texas. She moved to Dallas, Texas where she continued her education to become a certified full charge bookkeeper.
Betty had a fun and exciting childhood. She always had stories of all the shenanigans that she and her siblings would engage in. Fond memories they all took to adulthood.
After a few years in Dallas, Betty returned to Odessa where she became very active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Her mother, Polly, was a member as well. Together, they enjoyed traveling to different chapters of the Eagles. When her mother became sick, Betty Ann sold her car and purchased a van so that she could easily load and unload her mother who was in a wheelchair. The two of them set off on an adventure, exploring some of the places Polly had always wanted to see. This trip is something
Betty's mother talked about fondly until her passing. Betty also enjoyed playing golf and working around her house. Nothing mechanical nor physical intimidated Betty, so it was never a surprise when she announced she had done something out of the ordinary.
In August 2007, Betty went to work for Carol and Ron Wade at Wade and Company as a bookkeeper. Very quickly, she became part of Ron and Carol's family. Shortly after Ron and Carol retired, she went to work at Young's Building Systems, where once again she quickly became family. She was a daily fixture in the office for nearly twenty years. Everyone enjoyed visiting with her when they came in. She was diligent, loyal, and loving. Betty was very much a caregiver to all.
Betty is survived by her sister, Sandra Love, of Odessa, Texas, her brother, Bill (Lanna) Tennison, of Odessa, Texas, Her lifetime friends, Lisa Carol Davis and Carol Wade. Her work family, as well as many friends and many nieces & nephews.
