Betty Lou Smith, 84, went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2018. She passed away peacefully at her home in Odessa, TX, surrounded by her loving family. Betty is survived by her husband, Gerald Smith of 41 years, sister Imogene Moore of Abilene, TX, and sons and their spouses: Gary and Melissa Rudloff, Ronald and Mary Rudloff, Michael and Jackie Rudloff, and step son and his spouse: Todd & Marcella Smith.
Betty loved her 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren dearly. Betty was born on January 12,1934 and grew up in Brownwood, TX. Betty married Gerald Smith at the courthouse on September 15, 1977. Together they opened and ran Little Broncho Corral daycare for over 10 years.
Betty loved God and was a devout Christian and member of Life Change Baptist Church where she made many friends. She loved her family and enjoyed gatherings of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Anyone that knew Betty knows she loved to play games and would get very competitive. A visitation will be held at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, October 23, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at Life Change Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 24th at 1:00 pm.
