Bettie June Gelnar

Bettie June Gelnar passed away at her home in Victoria, Texas surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. She was 81 years old. She was born in Granite, Oklahoma on November 13, 1931 to the late Dewey & Pauline Morgan. She married Joseph Frank Gelnar on November 18, 1947.

She moved with her family to Odessa, Texas in 1955. Bettie was a homemaker. She had been a member of 6th & Jackson Church of Christ for 58 years. She and her husband moved to Victoria, Texas in August of this year.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey & Pauline Morgan; brother, Frankie Gene Morgan; brother, Don Morgan; brother, Dewey Morgan, Jr.; brother, J. P. Morgan; sister, Anita Stovall; sister, Janice Crumpley; brother, Jim Morgan; and sister, Wanda Hager.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Gelnar of Victoria, Texas; three daughters, Pam Taylor of Victoria, Texas; Delana Wilkerson and husband, Jerry of Odessa, Texas; Tami Henry and husband, Paul of Odessa Texas; six grandsons, Jaret Taylor and wife, Sarah of Victoria, Texas; Jason Wilkerson and wife, Ellen of Odessa, Texas; Darren Wilkerson and wife, Erin of Odessa, Texas; Trey Taylor of Conroe, Texas; Tyler Henry and wife, Amy of Odessa, Texas; and Tanner Henry of Odessa; four great-grandchildren, Cooper Wilkerson of Odessa, Texas; Ella Henry of Odessa, Texas; Landon Henry of Odessa, Texas; and Liam Taylor of Victoria, Texas; brother, Ken Morgan of Dayton, Ohio.
