Antonio Garza Alaniz, passed away on Friday, August 01, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital, Odessa, Texas. He married the love of his life, Aurora Luna, November 18,1963 in McCamey. He worked most of his life as a welder and heavy equipment operator. He was a good hunter and fisherman. He was the "glue that held the family together" and was the best Grandfather to his Grandchildren. "They were the light of his eyes and he was the light of theirs".
He is survived by his wife, Aurora Alaniz, one daughter Marisol Esparza and husband Abraham, of Odessa; one brother, Miguel Alaniz Jr. and wife Rosalinda of Poteet, Texas; one sister, Georgia Koch and husband James, of Sedalia, Colorado; two, Grandchildren Nicholas and Marina Esparza. He was preceded in death by his parents Miguel Alaniz and Inez Garza, and one brother Rogelio Alaniz. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 3, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Seton with Father Mark Woodruff Officiating.
