Patricia and her adoring husband Angelo, both born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, enjoyed 61 years of faithful and lasting marriage. Having met in 1956 through a blind date, they were inseparable and were married at Our Lady of Lourdes in January 1961. Patricia was a member of the Class of 1958 at Notre Dame Academy. She maintained several close friendships from her school years until her death.
Patricia and Angelo both received Jesus as their savior in 1974. Shortly after, they moved to California with their daughters and continued to grow together in love and their walk with Jesus while attending Calvary Chapels in Encinitas, Carlsbad and Anaheim before joining the fellowship at Seacoast Community Church. Patricia was an amazing Mother who led by example of her faith in God and her devotion to Angelo. Her daughters were blessed to have a mother who loved them fiercely and unconditionally.
Patricia and Angelo enjoyed many travels abroad together for business as well as pleasure. Patricia delighted in her vacations with her girlfriends, Mary and Sharon, her cousin Diane and sister-in-law Elaine.
Patricia and Angelo resided in Orange County for many years and enjoyed a busy social life. Patricia was active in the Ebell Club of Anaheim where she developed many friendships.
Patricia is survived by her husband Angelo and their daughters and sons-in-law Angela Brunet (Richard) and Christine Gassett (Brian). She was a loving Grandmother to David Ehl (Michelle), Michael Ehl (Danley), Jolie Ninness (Nolan), Clara Rose Gassett and Brennan Gassett, as well as a doting Great-Grandmother to Arya, Simeon, Troy, Kent, Eisley and Adelina. She will also be missed by her extended stepfamily Kelly, Shadow, Scott, Brian, Leah, Scarlet and Luc Brunet.
Patricia also leaves behind many close relatives and friends who reside in Cleveland, including Angelo's brothers Ross, Chuck and Tom; sisters-in-law Maria Farro, Diana Farro and Janet Barrett; her dearest cousin (and partner in endless laughter) Diane Keenan; childhood friend Carol Armour; David Barrett and many other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She adored them all.
Patricia was preceded in death by her mother Christine (Souhrada) Barrett and her two brothers Donald Barrett and Hugh Barrett.
A Celebration of Life service for Patricia will be held at Seacoast Community Church in Encinitas, CA on December 10th at 10 am PST. Live stream available through https://www.youtube.com/@SeacoastCommunityChurch. Luncheon to follow in the Seacoast Community Church Café.
Patricia will be laid to rest at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside in a private graveside service.
“An Excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her...She does him good…all the days of his life…Her children rise up and bless her. Her husband praises her…A woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised”.
Proverbs 31 10-12, 28-30.
