She attended Vista High School and lived many years in Carlsbad, California where she raised her family.
She was an avid member of The Oceanside four wheelers and relished adventuring with her family and friends in the desert and mountain areas. In later years achieving her dream of moving to the mountains of San Diego and purchasing her dream home in Warner Springs.
She enjoyed riding and raising horses, she loved to plant trees and landscape on her property and was a passionate collector of Indian artifacts and western art.
She owned and operated Julian Surf n Sport for many years and in later years an Indian and Western shop in Julian, California. where she valued her many friends in the Julian Community.
Marcia is a 3rd generation Californian and a descendent of the Atmore Family who arrived in California during the Gold Rush. She was an independent and accomplished woman who worked hard to create the life she loved.
She is survived by her 5 children, Michael Thompson, Danny Thompson, Julie Sypher, Kelly Macias and Tina Frandsen.
She had 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held by the family later in the summer.
