Lorna Peel Abrazado, 54 OCEANSIDE -- Lorna Peel Abrazado passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 Naval Medical Center in San Diego, Caifornia. She was born August 30, 1956 in Manila, Philippines, daughter of Ceferina V. Peel and Chiock Lim. She immigrated to the United States on July 31, 1975. She married Mon P. Abrazado (MCPO. U.S.Navy. retired) in 1980 and began the adventure of being a military wife. She had resided in California since 1980. Lorna was a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Villa Rancho Bernardo. She was in the nursing profession for 22 years. She enjoyed cooking, singing, dancing, and her many friends and family. She was loving, generous, humorous, outgoing, compassionate and extremely independent. Lorna was preceded in death by her sister Victoria P. Jarencio and John D. Peel (adopted father). She is survived by her husband, Mon P. Abrazado, daughter Mona Abrazado; mother, Ceferina V. Peel of Zion , Illinois; sisters, Rosa V. Coleman of Zion, Illinois, Belinda P. Balay of Zion, Illinois, Elena P. Tayor of Waukegan, Illinois: brothers, Brigido V. Lim of Waukegan, Illinois, Melchor V. Peel of Zion, Illinois, Reynaldo V. Peel of North Chicago, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. We will miss her every day until we're together. There will be a viewing held at 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 18 and Sunday September 19 at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 21, at San Luis Rey Mission Chapel in Oceanside, California.
