Lori Ann Davini passed away May 26, 2023 following an intracerebral hemorrhage stroke. Lori Ann was born September 16, 1965 in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of Dr. John K (deceased) who is at peace and Peggy (Margaret) Martin. Lori Ann moved to San Diego with her family when she was a year old and her father was serving in the Navy at Balboa Hospital. She attended Stanley Middle School and University City High School in San Diego. Upon graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Lori Ann entered the financial world where she was the branch manager and registered principal of the Cetera Advisor Networks LLC office where she had worked for nearly 22 years.
Her many loves included extensive international travel with her mother including visiting areas on six continents including Antarctica. An avid skier, she enjoyed ski vacations in Canadian provinces and several western States. Lori Ann also traveled internationally with Peggy to numerous Rotary ISFR (International Skiing Fellowship of Rotary) ski weeks, as well as volunteering with Peggy at many fundraising activities for the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club.
Lori Ann married Joseph Kent Davini on May 14, 1994. Joe tragically died in a car accident in 1996 at the age of 35.
A person of faith, Lori Ann was baptized at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Beaverton, Oregon. She was confirmed and married at The Church of the Good Samaritan, San Diego, where a memorial service was held on June 2nd, 2023.
She is survived by her son Anthony, her mother Peggy, and her brothers Ian (Bella) and Chris.
With a passionate love for animals all her life, Lori Ann left behind two dogs, two cats and a dragon lizard. Horseback riding had long been an equal passion of hers, and this also included volunteering her time with a therapeutic riding program for youth.
Burial and internment will take place on June 24, 2023 at Eternal Hills Cemetery in Oceanside, California.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor her love for animals, the family invites donations in Lori Ann’s name to the San Diego Humane Society, or to the charity of your choice. Honoring her advance medical directive, Lori Ann became a Life Sharing Hero by donating her vital organs.
