Leigh Edward Coppock passed peacefully from this world on November 27th 2012 at his home in Vista. He was born May 2nd, 1939 in Carroll, Iowa to Harold and Lois Coppock. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
Leigh graduated from Point Loma High School in 1957. After serving honorably in the US Army, he worked for 39 years at the Vista Irrigation District. He was a member of Vista Christian Fellowship for 23 years, and did much volunteer work there. He also volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 12 years and did volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Leigh is survived by his loving wife Bonnye, son Anderson (Grace), and grandsons Hunter, Jacob and Alex. He is also survived by 4 siblings; Sister LuAnn Cummings; brothers Michael Coppock, Douglas Coppock, and Dennis Coppock.
In lieu of flowers, Leigh has requested that donations be made in his name to the Vista Christian Fellowship Building Fund.
There will be a memorial service on Friday, Dec. 7th at Vista Christian Fellowship at 1:00 PM with reception to follow. A private burial will take place at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
