Was born on May 2, 1922 in Oceanside, California and passed away at home on Kauai surrounded by her loved ones on December 29, 2022 at the age of 100. Fedora was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was the last living child of Ramone and Theresa Foussat proceeded in death by her parents, husband Henry Michael Godinez, sisters Louise Foussat, Carmen Granados, Laura Contreras, Angelina Flores, Clara Guy and brothers Johnny Foussat, Richard Garcia, Burnell Foussat, Louis Foussat, and Hubert Foussat.
She is survived by her children Regina Carvalho (Bernard Jr.), and Jacqueline Godinez. Grandchildren Bronson Carvalho (Aubrey), Brennen Carvalho, Brittney Brede (Kenji), Secia Fernandez, (Waika). Great grandchildren, Welina, Ka’uhane, Nahoa, Kainalu, Kawelu, Brolin, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Fedora was a proud member of the Luiseño Indians. She worked for many years as a cashier and civil servant she retired as a data entry operator. She was a girl scout leader and volunteer at the St. Charles Priory making bread. She spent her retired life between Oceanside and Kauai visiting family. She especially enjoyed playing bingo, reading, and going for walks.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday January 27, 2023 at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside, California. Visitation will begin at 8 am, Services at 10 am with burial to follow 11:15.
The family wishes to thank Kauai hospice for their care and compassion over the last two years.
