We are saddened to announce the passing of Edwin Alave Cordero of Oceanside, California. God called him home at the age of 70 on Wednesday 19 April 2023. Edwin passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.
Aside from his 25-year military career with the United States Navy, Edwin was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He was admired and respected by many and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Divina; his children, Maureen Cordero, Marissa Cordero-Herbert & Richard Herbert, RoseAnne Cordero, and Melody Boutin & Nicholas Boutin.
His legacy will carry on through his 11 grandchildren; Jayden, Jacob, Kiana, Julian, Isaak, Kai, Jordyn, Jace, Nicky, Joseph and Caleb.
Viewing and funeral Services will be held at Eternal Hills Mortuary on 3 and 4 May 2023.
All active and retired military members are encouraged to wear their service dress uniform to honor SCPO Cordero.
If you wish to send flowers, the family requests to have them delivered on 2 May 2023 at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside.
The Cordero family appreciates the continued support and will have both services open to everyone who would like to attend.
