After reading all of these entries I realized that Armand was so much more than I could have known just seeing him at mass at St. Mary's Star of the Sea. Armand and Therese were the first two people that really helped me out when I started to be an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion in 2005.  Throughout the past years both of them have always been so kind, friendly, understanding and loving when I would speak with them at church.  Armand will be gravely missed.  My love, prayers and thoughts go out to the entire family.  May God Bless all of you and keep You in His Loving Care.

There are men who, by instinct, you immediately trust and respect.  Armand was such a man.  I first met him in 1981 when I joined OPD, and was impressed with his loyalty and integrity as a police officer.  In the years that followed, I grew to appreciate his qualities as a leader and role model for younger officers.  I saw first hand his positive impact on those of us who depended on him.  We all have our personal memories of Armand Doucet - I will always value mine.  I'm proud I knew him.

Sending all my love and prayers to the entire Doucet family.  Armand was a very kind and gentle soul.  I know he will be missed.  May you all be blessed and watched over by God.

In the late 50's my mother was a night-duty nurse at Oceanside Hospital, and had taken me to the ER with a severe earache.  Sgt. Doucet was on duty, but took the time to hold my hand while an object was painfully removed from my ear.  He forever became my image of caring police officers and I have had  respect for law enforcement all of my life because of him.  May God Bless you in your grief.

Armand Doucet was a good friend to the nurses at the old Oceanside Hospital in the late 50's. We always had coffee ready for him. He watched out for us isolated night nurses in the wee hours, and we really appreciated his caring ways.

I will miss you always Daddy.  You were my hero in life and will always remain so.  It was an honor to be your daughter and have you as my father. May you finally have the peace you so richly deserve.

I had the pleasure of working for Lt. Doucet many times during my time at O.P.D. What a great example of a leader, always willing to advise anyone who asked.  He truely loved Oceanside and HIS police department. We will surely miss Armand at our monthly luncheons.  Our deepest sympathy to Therese and family in this time of sorrow.

Armand Doucet was my mentor, teacher, leader and friend. His steadfast resolve, honesty and courage was an example to all of the officers that served with him on the Oceanside Police Department. He was the most outstanding leader of law enforcement officers I have had the honor to serve with. He will be sorely missed by all of us.

Such a loving man who welcomed me into the family with unconditional love! I'm a fortunate daughter-in-law. You're free of pain, enjoying the best golf courses, hanging out at Diamond Lil's, helping others (as always) and watching over us. Love You!
