Pnina Roth

Born in Israel in 1931 to Rose and Philip Litwinoff, Pnina and her family returned to New Jersey in 1939 after helping to settle Herzelia, now an affluent city in the central coast of Israel.

Pnina was a graduate of Linden High School and Kean University. She worked as a secretary for Prudential Insurance Company in Newark from 1950 - 1958. During that time, she met and married the love of her life, Raphael Roth, and took some time off to raise her adoring children, Sheryl and Michael, before returning to work as the Secretary to the Superintendent at Bradley Beach Elementary School, where she worked from 1966 - 1977.

Pnina's true passion was teaching, and in 1977 she began her 22 year career as an English teacher at Wall Township Intermediate School. Additionally, Pnina was a beloved teacher at the Religious School of Temple Beth Torah in Wanamassa.

In her spare time, Pnina was involved in the Ocean Township Democratic Club and enjoyed time with her dearest friends and cherished family - taking great pride in being a grandmother to Rebecca - attending countless musical theater productions and concerts, watching her perform.

After retirement, Pnina moved to Seabrook Village and enjoyed her many years there, being involved in many activities and friendships.

Pnina is predeceased by her husband, Raphael Roth, her daughter, Sheryl Roth Wolpin, her sister, Judith Joffe, and her brother, Isaac Litwinoff. Pnina leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted son, Michael Roth, her daughter-in-law, Amy Roth, and her beloved granddaughter, Rebecca Roth, all of Neptune, as well as many loving nieces and nephews and their families.

A graveside service will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Please meet at the office prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at the home of Judi and Andy Thaw, 19 Cambridge Road, Freehold, on Wednesday, March 8 and Thursday, March 9 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
