Sharon Kay MacDonald Sutton, 70, of Ocala, passed away August 15, 2021, at Ocala Regional. Services will be at 1:00pm, September 3, 2021, Grace Presbyterian Church with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala beginning at 3pm.
Sharon was born in Indianapolis, IN, on September 17, 1950, to William Kenneth MacDonald and Josephine Boner MacDonald. She worked for numerous years as a teacher and greatly enjoyed helping the youth grow. Sharon was a devoted and committed wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was heavily involved in her church, Grace Presbyterian, in various ministries including teaching Bible Studies, Sunday School, and hosting a weekly women’s prayer group. She started the Rainbow Reading Club for children, a summer reading program. Sharon was the coordinator for the Good News Bible Club at Madison Street Elementary for ten years, leading many to the Lord. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and serving others. Sharon also enjoyed the beach, mountains, and family vacations.
She is preceded in death by her father, William MacDonald, mother, Josephine MacDonald, sister, Debbie Brunswick, brother in law, Danny Brunswick, mother in law, Amy Sutton, and father in law, Gerald Sutton.
Sharon is survived by her husband Bob Sutton; children Matt Sutton and Trisha Hiatt; grandchildren Maia Sutton and Sutton Hiatt; siblings Marcia Devor, Bill MacDonald, Amy Ritchhart, Laura Taylor, Sandra Nerlfi, Mark MacDonald, and Kenny MacDonald.
