Her infectious laugh, kind smile, and gentle spirit guided her throughout multiple career paths that allowed her to positively impact her community in many ways. In the 1980s she was a lifeguard/swim instructor in the Shores. Not only did she love the water, but she loved having the opportunity of teaching others water safety skills and how to swim. As a result of her wonderful personality, she was loved by many. A smile from Sandy would make one’s day. She lived life in happiness and joy. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother followed by the love of providing a home for many stray animals.
