Robert “Bob” W. Coffey, Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022. Bob was born in Bethel, CT, the second child of Margaret and James Coffey. He was predeceased by his parents and his devoted “bride” of 38 years, Caren (Meade) Coffey. He was the loving father of Maria “Ria” Coffey of North Lauderdale, FL and Robert “Bobby” Coffey, Jr. of Statesboro, GA. Bob is survived by his brother James V. Coffey, and sister-in-law Eleanor M. Coffey, of Redding, CT, and his nephew Christopher Coffey of Norwalk, CT. Bob had a special place in his heart for his nephew James Coffey, his wife Lisa, and was especially proud of his great nephew and niece, James and Emily Coffey of Westborough, MA. Bob moved to Summerfield, FL in 2002, after a long illustrious career in semiconductor sales in the New England and Midwest regions. He retired as a real estate agent working for Armstrong Homes in Summerfield, FL. He was an avid golfer, a proud patriot and US Army veteran. Bob shined best at work and was a mentor to all with whom he crossed paths. He will be lovingly remembered as a caring father, a supportive uncle, an all-around good humored jokester and as a “best friend” to those that loved him.
