A long time musician, soloist, choir director and organist, Joyce served several churches. She joined Ft. King Presbyterian Church in Ocala and served as an elder. Besides loving her Lord, her life was filled with many dogs and horses including strays and needy animals.
Preceded in death by her parents and her pharmacist husband, Bill Gauntt, she is survived by her daughter, Robin Elaine Gauntt of Gainesville, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts would be welcomed by Ft King Presbyterian Church, 13 NE 36th Ave, Ocala FL 34470 and the Humane Society of Marion County, 701 NE 14th Road, Ocala FL 34475.
Viewing will be 6-8pm Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 So, Pine Avenue, Ocala FL 34480. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 30th at 10am at Ft. King Presbyterian Church. Graveside service will be in Birmingham, AL.
