James "Jimmy" A. McVey

James Alfred “Jimmy” McVey, 84 of Ocala, Florida passed away on July 11th,2024 at Grace Davis Hall Hospice House. James was born in Ansted, West Virginia to Raymond Cecil and Pauline Virginia McVey on September 23rd. 1939. He attended and graduated from Ansted High School.

James, served in the U.S. Army from 1958 – 1970 attaining the Rank of Staff Sargent and received several medals including the Bronze Star. After leaving the Army James went to work for Lockheed Martin where he worked for over 35 years as a Quality Control Engineer until he retired.

James enjoyed building computers and other electronics. He was the family’s computer Tech Support always repairing, upgrading all of our systems.

James is survived by his Children - Kathy McVey, Renee (McVey) Naquin, Lee Ann Nagy, and Timothy “Brian” Krietemeyer. Siblings - Hulda “Sue” Crumb, Ray Ivan McVey, Michael Mcvey, and Terri Richards. As well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in Death by his wife Anna Lee McVey, parents Raymond and Pauline (Neal) McVey and brothers Raymond Jr. “Nick”, William “Billy”, and Neal David McVey.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34480.
