Helen Ionie Thompson, 85, of Ocala passed away on November 20, 2015. Born in Kingston, Jamaica and formerly of New York where she worked at a Registered Nurse, she moved to Florida 21 years ago. She was a dedicated member of Souls Harbor First Pentecostal Church in Belleview. A spiritual woman, she loved to sing and did so with joy.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Thompson and one son, Paul. She is survived by her son, Clive (Edwina) Thompson; daughter, Anthea V. Thompson, eight grandchildren, and her sister, Myrette (Alvin) Rodney.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Souls Harbor First Pentecostal Church, 12650 County Hwy 484, Belleview, Florida.
Her final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
