I will miss Marcus. I am forever grateful to have crossed his path and for his shared wisdom. I will miss hearing his deep baritone voice and laughing when he would answer for me and say "Yetteedee" in a high-pitched tone. When I became a social worker, I asked Marcus to get me something for my desk, and he gave me this vase.

I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. Marcus was a really nice guy.  Very witty (the perfect sparring partner) but also kind, respectful and loving.  Peace be with him and his loved ones and God rest his soul.

Marcus and I played together in Idaho Falls in 1994 and spent spring training of ‘95 together.  Marcus was a close friend during those days and  one of my favorite teammates.  The news of his passing breaks my heart - my sincerest condolences to his friends and family.  I will remember Marcus fondly, he was a good man and I’m grateful to have been his teammate and friend.

Marcus would be the first guy to pump a teammate up who needed it and be the first guy to want the ball in a big game. Our hearts go  out to the Tyner family on this loss of such a bright light.

We got our A books this day…. My partners (missing Val in this pic). My heart hurts so much. Words cannot even begin to describe. I will forever cherish the memories that I have. May you Rest In Eternal Peace Marcus! Love ya!

With a heavy heart, I remember the great times as a coach having th pleasure of coaching Marcus, what a phenomenal baseball player!  He had a lot of charisma and a lot of style. I can’t remember a player that I enjoyed as much. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten!   I grieve with his friends and family for the loss of Marcus!

I’ve known Marcus and the Tyner family since I was 11 and he was 10 years old. That friendship has meant everything to me over the years. Marcus was the first person I called after following my cardiac arrest in 2023. Gave me a tough love conversation that has served me well since. My favorite memory of him is from 1995 when I was working in NY, and he called to let me know he was playing in Rochester. I drove 5hrs and stayed the weekend to hang out. Two Oakland boys 3,000 miles away from home. Love and miss you, my friend.

A couple of years back. A few of the fellas On Marcus & D. Hadnot's birthday. Marcus and I came into the waterfront industry at the same time. He said I reminded him of one of his uncles. He was like a little brother to me.  We had a lot of good times. Gonna really miss him.
