Dolores R. Szczepanski (nee Johnston), 94, of St. Charles, Illinois (formerly of Chicago and Aurora) was born into eternal life on October 9, 2022 after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Walter, cherished mother of Linda Stevens, and "Mom" to many. Dolores is survived by her sister, Shirley Filippini of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law, Mary Johnston of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law, Lorraine Kruse of Louisville, IL; brother-in law, Leroy (Donna) Michalak of Joliet, IL; and many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.
Dolores will be remembered for her strong faith and her desire to help others. She will also be remembered for her youthful spirit, love of music, and enjoyment of all her "adventures" with Linda and Mike. We will greatly miss the sound of her laughter and the warmth of her hugs.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral Home. Entombment will be private.
