Michael Anthony Sobieski

Michael A. Sobieski ‘Mike’ at age 82, joined his wife Alvira and returned peacefully to the loving arms of our Father in heaven on June 3rd, 2020. He was born December 7th, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Matthew and Stella (Chojnacki) Sobieski. Loving husband, father, brother, friend, and devout Christian, he dedicated his life to serving the Lord and others. He volunteered as a eucharistic minister, a lector and attained the honor of a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Even in his final hours, remaining courageous and faithful to the end, saying the rosary daily and worried more about his sons, then himself.

He is survived by his three sons Michael (wife Lisa), Matthew (wife Carla) and John, five grandchildren (Stephanie, Michael, Elizabeth, Gianna, and Amelia), and sisters Esther. He was preceded to Heaven by his Wife of 55 years Alvira and his Parents, Matthew and Stella.

In lieu of flowers he has requested donations be made to Cupertino Home (http://www.blcinc.org/cupertino-home/ ). Electronic Cards and letters to [email protected]. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a future date.
