Mark J. Dwyer

Mark was born on November 21, 1947, in Evergreen Park, IL, the son of the late Dr. John and Mary Dwyer.

Mark graduated from Leo High School. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Mark retired from the Cook County Assessors Office, where he worked for 31 years.

Mark loved to golf and enjoyed spending time in warmer, sunny Florida. He cherished his time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was an amazing Papa.

Mark leaves behind his loving wife Lynn of 51 years, his son John (Katie), and their children Charlotte, Delaney, and Seamus; his daughter Anne Marie O’Donnell (Brenden),and their son Owen; and his youngest son Mark; Sister Carol Mahoney and Brother Dr. Dennis Dwyer, and many loving nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Dr. John Dwyer, Dr. Leo Dwyer, and Paul Dwyer, as well as his sisters Sheila Dwyer and Mary Helen Aquilla.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 3pm to 7 pm at Chapel Hill Gardens South, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL. Funeral to follow Monday July 29th at 9:00 am at the funeral home, processing to Queen of Martyrs Church of St. Gianna Parish, 10233 S Central Park Ave., Evergreen Park, IL 60805 for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.
