Gerald Frank Slubowski passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 20, 2024, after a courageous 4-year battle with prostate cancer. Loving husband of Joan; Beloved father of Scott (Molly) and Daniel, sons of the late Anna; Loving son of Barbara Provenzano and the late Henry Slubowski; Adored grandfather of Teddy and Annie; Cherished stepfather of Kristopher (Heather) Queen; Beloved step-grandfather of Trevon, Teyona, Kayley, Tyrese, and Sydney; Dear brother to Cindy (Kathy) Slubowski, Jack (Kathy) Slubowski, Theresa (Terry) Rowden, Barbara (Carlo) Cesario, and Henry “JR” (Doug) Slubowski; Adored uncle of Luke (Tamazine) Fritz, Tiffany (Ryan) Bockewitz, Tina (Clark) Herig, David Cesario, Kevin Cesario, and Karl Cesario; Cherished great uncle of Ethan and Rob; Loving dog dad to Star and Luna. All-star Boomtown softball player for over 20 years, avid golfer, and President of Boomtown Golf Association for the last 5 years. Devoted and retired employee of UPS after 34 years. Amazing dad and coach to generations he loved as his own.
Visitation Thursday December 26, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m., Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St, Oak Lawn. A funeral mass will take place on Friday December 27, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Patricia Church, 9000 S. 86th Ave, Hickory Hills. Entombment, Friday at Resurrection Cemetery following funeral mass, 7201 Archer Rd, Justice.
