Through the years and all the tears we shed for those we love, will never equal the smiles and bright days we shared in happiness. My condolences to the Barski clan on the loss of Dave. I remember the good times we had as kids at St. Bride School, particularly the fun we had when we were on the same altar boy team.

It was a pleasure to serve on staff with Dave for 3 1/2 years.  My prayers remain with Joy and family during this most difficult time.

It has been many years, but we have such fond memories of your family.  May your memories bring you comfort.

Dave was a true and holy example of a husband, father and friend. He was steadfast and did what he had to do on a daily basis with a smile and with grace. Dave was a living example of how to live your faith as a Catholic. Joy, Chris and Michelle ... his love will always be here, just look for it whenever you need it.

I loved Dave. Some of the best memories in my life are working up at Linus all those summers and holiday breaks. Dave's sense of humor, caring nature, and his ability to teach me things made him a true friend. I enjoyed that our friendship carried on after I left Linus. I will never ever forget him. He was a staple of the St. Linus family and will continue to be for years to come. He will live on in my heart forever. Know that I am here if you ever want to talk or laugh. All of you are in my prayers as is Dave.

Working at St. Linus in high school, Dave was the first boss I ever had. There was always a great balance of work and play with Dave, who truly new that happy employees were productive employees. Whether it was polishing the church floor in time for Midnight Mass, painting classroom after classroom each summer, or enjoying a soda pop with him in the school vestibule, Dave knew how to savor a moment. Tonight, I will raise a Coke in his honor and thank him for giving this 15 year-old sarcastic sophomore an opportunity to learn work responsibility and professional integrity.

To Joy and the entire Barski family:

What a loss to St. Linus and anyone who knew him!! Dave was always there when any staff member or friend needed him. Terri will truly miss "her buddy"!
We will always remember the good time we had with Dave and Joy 2 years ago in Las Vegas. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to everyone. May God take him into His arms and take him home to Heaven.

One of my fondest memories with my brother in law Dave was when we went to the Chicago Stadium to see Larry Bird play against Michael Jordan. We went to dinner at The Parthenon in Greektown before the game and had a wonderful time at the game as we were both Celtics & Larry Bird fans. I had him all to myself that night and it was outstanding to spend that special night with him. He was kind, loving and honest in every aspect of his life!

Dave was a wonderful, generous, kind man.  His legacy will live in your family and the entire St. Linus family.  Eternal rest, grant unto him, O Lord.

Gail and I are sad to learn of the loss of David.  Hopefully when remembered the fond and cherished memories of time spent with him come to light.  It seems to be a time to celebrate the life spent more so than reflect on future moments not to be had.

Our prayers go out to the Barski Family, Dave was a great guy, with a gentle spirit.  He will be missed!
