William Edward Everett

William E. Everett joined his wife, family and friends in the afterlife on Thursday the 14th August 2014. Having lived a fruitful and productive life, he left behind two sons, three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren and too many friends to comprehend. His life was hallmarked by his service to his

faith, his family and his country. Raised during the depression with his six brothers and sisters, in East Baltimore, he was part of the “Greatest Generation” during World War II. Bill saw action in North Africa, Italy and Southern France. As a result of his actions, he earned the Silver Star for Valor at Monte Casino. He will be remembered best for his sincere love of children which was always reciprocated. Many infants fell into blissful sleep while being rocked to choruses of “A Froggie went a courting” and “The Wabash Cannon Ball”. His love of the Blessed Mother was reflected in all that he did, particularly his love of Mankind which was expressed by his quick wit, expertise in storytelling, but most of all, his kinds and sincere words to all. A true example of St. Francis of Assisi he lived his life simply, focused on the most important attribute in life – love. As he tells his favorite “war stories” to the Seraphim and Cherubim know that his misses you as much as you miss him. Take solace in the immortal words of Gen George S. Patton Jr: “It is foolish and wrong to

mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived”.
