This is very late I know, but I only now became aware of her death.  She was my favorite teacher in grade school (taught me in both 6th and 7th grade.  She taught well and was kind.

Condolences, Love and Prayers to the McMahon family. 

I was 12 years old and in the 7th grade when Maureen was my teacher.  She was an amazing educator, and, later in life, an amazing friend.  We've stayed in touch all these years, and the last time I spoke with her was this past August, on her 90th birthday.

After meeting many of her relatives at the service today, all I can say is that she was surrounded by a wonderful, warm loving family.

Maureen was a special lady, and we will all miss her.

I am another former student of Ms. McMahon (or Sr. Blanche as we knew her).  Some teachers simply leave a contribution to your life, either in what they teach you or how they treat you.  Or both.  She achieved both, and it was a joy to stay in touch with her.

My deepest sympathy to Maureen McMahon’s family.  Those of us at St Bernadette’s Catholic School knew her as Sister Blanche.  She was my 7th grade teacher and I have many school memories of her from that year.   My prayers to her family at this time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Maureen was my neighbor who was always friendly with a smile and hello for over 30 years. She was a kind and caring person. I remember one evening, the night before I was going into the hospital, she called to wish me luck and tell me I was in her prayers. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
