

John was born January 17, 1929, in Sutton, West Virginia, to Lillie Ethyl James Jackson and John Jackson. He honorably served in the Korean War and returned home to marry Glenna Lee Tingler.
In 1986, John retired from Bethlehem Steel. He enjoyed his retirement with frequent visits to West Virginia for hunting and working on the Tingler Family Home. With his excellent carpenter skills, he kept busy remodeling homes and businesses. Jack’s favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, rooting for the Orioles and Ravens, playing dominos, and always winning checkers.
John is survived by his Daughter Lili Beth Colvin, Son John Jackson III, his Son-in-Law Steven E Colvin, his Sister Mary Lou Nattale, Brother Ronnie Barnette, Brother-in-Law Frank Nattale, Sister-in-Law, Rosalie Barnette, his beloved caretaker Pamela Dodd.
John was preceded in death by his Wife, Glenna Jackson, and his Daughter-in-Law, Stefanie Jackson.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
