Frances Martin di Lorenzo died peacefully at home on July 1, 2019. She was born on September 1, 1927 in Baltimore, MD. She was the only child of Adam and Rose Martin, but grew up in a close relationship with her late cousins Rita, Katherine, and Joseph Martin.
After graduating from Catholic High School, she received her Associate Degree from Mt. St. Agnes College. She met her late husband, Lucius Vincent diLorenzo, at the Unites States Naval Academy. After his graduation, they were married at the Naval Academy chapel on June 5, 1948, and started their military life together living in many parts of the United States.
Frances is survived by her loving daughters, Leah Ellis and her husband Fred, and Marilyn deTorres of Baltimore, MD.
She will be remembered by her family and friends for her kindness and the generosity with which she shared her time and her many talents of baking, crafts, and sewing.
Relatives and friends may call at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, from 4-8pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 3rd, at 11:30am, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 10 Willow Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21206. Entombment services will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E. Padonia Rd., Timonium, MD 21093.
