On October 12, 2024, Ethel Elnore Bates (nee Hayhurst) passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of the late William Ray Bates Sr.; devoted mother of Connie Lynn Bates, William Ray Bates Jr, his wife Valerie, Kimberly Ann Bates, and the late Robin Denise Miller; loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren; dear sister of the late Emma and Louise; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 11:00 to 12:00 PM, funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM.
