On March 26, 2023, Donald H. Schultheis; devoted father of Shane Schultheis and Donnie Schultheis; dear brother of Nancy Long (Larry); uncle of Darlene Harper (Tracy), Cheri Feeney (David), Steve Long (Beth), Larry Long (Michele), and Thomas Long (Kristin).
Don worked for several years as an elementary school teacher after he graduated from college. He then went on to pursue a career as a Baltimore City Police Officer working in the South Eastern District for thirty years until his retirement. Don had an intense love of music participating in multiple church choirs and community choirs throughout the years. He loved reading, collecting books, DVDs and games. His favorite game was Chess and he enjoyed teaching others to match his skill level. He had a desire to stay fit and to encourage others to do so. For several years he participated in the annual Police Chase 10k Run, as well as other 5k and 10k races. He always encouraged family and friend to run in these races as well and it was such a fun and rewarding way to spend time together with him. One of his favorite bible verses is Isaiah 40:31 “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Surely, his strength has been renewed and he is soaring today in the heavenly realms.
