CANNON, Joan A. (Wells) age 83 of Norwood, Saturday Jan. 30, 2016. Born in Medford on June 18, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Dorothy (McKee) Wells. Joan was the mother of 12 devoted children who loved her dearly; Janet, Jean, Joan, Judy, Bobby, Jayne, Joyce, Joanne, Jimmy, Julie, Jackie, Jill, and had a special motherly love for Teresa Carello Demarais. Joan had 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was the Sister of Doreen “Rene” Whalen of Florida, Natalie Flynn of South Boston, Jacqueline “Penny” Ryan of Malden and the late Judy Smedile of Rockland. Her life revolved around her family and she was a constant presence at her grandchildren’s sporting and other events. She was avid sports fan all her life, and until recently Joan had season tickets to the Patriots and never missed a game. Joan retired from the Norwood Hospital after many years.
