Midge was born in Norwich on March 19, 1933 the daughter of Kenneth R. and Geraldine (Waters) Meade, Sr. She grew up in Norwich where she attended and graduated from the Norwich High School with the Class of 1951. She continued her education by attending St. Thomas Aquinas College for 2 years.
In September of 1951 Midge entered the United States Army serving her country until her honorable discharge in September of 1953 earning the rank of Corporal. Following her discharge Midge returned to Norwich.
Over the years she had worked for Norwich - Eaton, a Convent in Long Island and also taught in St. Paul’s Catholic School. She eventually went to work for Chenango County and NY State as Program Director of Employment and Training where she worked for 24 years retiring in March of 1995.
Midge is survived by her brother Joseph (Nancy) Meade of No. Norwich along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Catherine Wehrli, brothers Kenneth Meade, Jr., and Charles Meade. The family would like to acknowledge the special friendships of Steve and Cheri Knowlton, as well as Mary Weidman. Also thanking the New York State Veterans Home for the quality and compassionate care provided to Midge during her final days.

In keeping with Midge’s wishes there will be no formal services. Burial will be in the St. Paul’s Cemetery of Norwich.
