She was born the youngest of four children of Phillip H Ellis and Mary M (Hall) Ellis on September 28, 1972, in Portsmouth, VA. Their Navy family eventually settled in Southeastern CT.
Teresa’s education included graduation from Norwich Free Academy, courses at Mohegan Community College and graduation from the Computer and Culinary Arts programs at the OIC in New London.
She was a lifelong nature lover and included its beauty and bold colors in her own artwork. Her creativity was evident in countless DIY projects and her ability to turn each new space into “home” almost immediately.
At the time of her death, Teresa was employed at Harbor Freight in New London, CT. She took pride in her work and was appreciated by customers and colleagues alike.
Whether it was punny joke, a silly gesture, or a comical spin on a situation, Teresa could always make you laugh.
As is true of many lives, Teresa lived with much physical and emotional pain, which was for years complicated by drug addiction. She was able to manage her demons with her personal courage, perseverance, and positivity. These strengths led her to her current clean, happy, healthy enjoyment of family, friends, and work.
Teresa was a straight-talking, outgoing, funny, considerate, hardworking, and generous woman who was dear to all those lucky enough to call her family, friend, or colleague. She will be missed by so many.
Teresa is survived by her two daughters, Ashley Muench, and Alyson Wells, her two grandsons Nicholas and Spencer. She is also survived by her mom and best friend, Mary Ellis, sister, Mary Martin, brothers Phillip Ellis and Steven Ellis, as well as her aunt Sister Beatrice Hall. She was predeceased by her father Phillip H Ellis and Uncle Edward Hall
