Sheilah was born on August 20, 1996 at the Bronx NY City Fordham Hospital. She was a tiny thing who brought so much joy to all those who were touched by her.
Sheilah was married to Jeffery Mitchell on January 13, 1988, for 35 years. Jeffery Mitchell who served as a Rank E-5 Second Class Petty Officer in the US Navy traveled with Sheilah to Sicily, Spain, Turkey, Germany, and Greece serving our country.
Sheilah went to school at Winthrop Elementary School, Junior High School, and New London High School; she also studied at Job Corp in Massachusetts.
She was a mother to Lucas D. Beltran (predeceased), Giovanni A. Mitchell and daughter Ashlee A. McNichol. Her family children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.
Sheilah’s passion was her cooking and baking. She would read many different cookbooks; and because of her travels to other countries, she would introduce wonderful foods that she had learned to make from different culinary cultures.
Sheilah was very fluent in three different languages: Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. She also enjoyed entertaining her family and friends, on her favorite holidays, which were Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Three Kings Day. On these days, she would prepare a banquet at her house, she would make everyone’s favorite dish; her house was always full of joy and love for all who came to eat her wonderful meals. The wonderful aroma could be smelled a block away.
Sheilah”s personality was very welcoming and outgoing; She enjoyed meeting people on Facebook and other social media, it was her way of getting in contact with family and friends; she also enjoyed laughing, bitching, correcting people, she was never afraid to give her opinions. She believed she was never wrong, always loved a good argument.
Sheilah enjoyed flowers, and plants; she was a very colorful person, and her favorite child was her cat “Chulo” who was faithful and loyal to her.
