Sandra was born in Brockton, MA on January 20, 1945; daughter of Della Eliza (Pina) and Avilla Albert Perry; her parents relocated to Norwich and she attended Elizabeth Street Elementary School; graduating from Norwich Free Academy in 1963.
Sandra’s first job was working at McKenna’s Flower Shop; then Johnson’s Flowers & Gifts. Her passion was Floral Design; but she also enjoyed Arts & Crafts and sewing.
After the birth of her son Troy, she relocated back to Brockton, MA; where she enjoyed living next door to her late sister Diane and nephew Perry Allen. Sandra was employed by Reebok International LTD for over 16 years.
In 1991, Sandra suffered a stroke, which left her a Quadriplegic. She became a resident of a Nursing Home in MA, then Willimantic, CT. In 2015, she moved to ArtSpace Norwich where she lived independently; with her caregiver Ruth.
She was a Resident of Greentree Manor Nursing and Rehab in Waterford, CT at the time of her death.
Although Sandra was confined to a wheelchair for more than 28 years and had many limitations; she never lost her sense of Self, being fashionable or her sense of humor.
Sandra was pre-deceased by her parents Della (Pina) and Avilla Perry; brother Dennis Perry; sister Diane Francis, nephew Mark Perry and niece Kylea Perry.
She leaves to cherish her memory; son Troy M. Perry of Cheshire, Grand Daughter Tori Perry Pecora of New London, brother Lawrence Perry (Shirley) of VA, former husband Anibal A. DaSilva of MA, Aunt Loretta of GA, Uncle Rudy of MA, Sister-in-Law, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and life-long Friends; all whom she loved dearly. She also leaves her Best Friend Ramona (Fraiter) Groce and Bestest Buddy Roberta (DelGado) Vincent.

Family and friends may visit Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, on Wednesday June 26th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of A Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be in the Perry Family Plot at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich
