Natalie L. Clang, age 97, of Bozrah, Connecticut passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Natalie was born on September 15, 1926 to Allan Dexter Church and Leona Berthiume. She married Richard D. Clang on August 12, 1950 and they shared 62 years of marriage until his death in 2012. Together they built their home on Blue Hill Road in Bozrah and worked together in building their family egg business, Windcrest Farms. She worked as a bookkeeper for Morgan Supply and Cooper’s Pharmacy in her early years. She continued as a bookkeeper for the business that she and her husband created while raising their 3 children. Natalie lived her life on Blue Hill Rd and after her husband’s passing in 2012, she continued to live independently until her death.
Natalie was the eldest among her siblings and was the last in her family surviving the passing of 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Lori-Ellen (James) Wesolowski, Lisa (Joseph) Regan and one son, Richard D. Clang Jr (Colleen), her grandchildren Alex, Adam, Mitchell, Cooper and Sofia, and one great grandchild.
Natalie enjoyed cooking, baking, and entertaining. She hosted Sunday dinners and family birthdays celebrated with Nana and Gramps. She took delight in hosting others, cooking and baking for all and was well known for how delicious her cream puffs and whoopie pies were. It put a smile on her face seeing others enjoy what she does for them. She was a giver. She was the happiest doing and being surrounded by what she loves. Through the 3 recent marriages of her grandsons, her family expanded as she welcomed their wives and a great grandson into the family. Natalie will be fondly remembered as “Nana” to her children and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends, date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Heart Association or Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
