Frank was born in Germany on Nov. 3, 1952 to the late Francisco “Frank” and Hedwig “Hedy” (Bachmann) Grillo. After graduating from NFA in 1971, Frank worked at Electric Boat for 15 years, leaving to pursue his own business only to return to the workforce at Collins and Jewell until his passing. His life was NHRA drag racing and family. He could always be found at work, home or the racetrack. He was an amazing father, outstanding grandfather, devoted brother, loving fiancé and mentor to many.
He is survived by his daughter Kelly Grillo, sister; Heddy Emmerich and husband Jeff, grandson; Michael D. Grillo, fiancé Jean Sullivan and step-son; Matthew Viscione and countless extended family members, and friends.
Visitation is Saturday, April 21st from 8:30 – 10:30am at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT with a Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 180 Elizabeth St., Norwich, CT. Burial will immediately follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
