I was so saddened to hear of Dennis's passing which came much too soon. I knew Dennis kindergarten through high school, and he was a such a good friend throughout the years. I have so many wonderful memories and one of the best was him singing "In the Still of the Night" in that smooth voice of his. I moved away from Norwich in 1969 but anytime I was back to visit my parents and friends, I would always stop by Mallon's to have a nice visit with Dennis. My husband and two children would come with me and my son and daughter absolutely adored him. My mother would also tell me whenever she saw Dennis somewhere around Norwich because he would always stop to talk to her, ask how I and my family were, and would give her a big hug. Dennis, you will be missed by so many people who knew you throughout the years. Rest in peace, my friend!

Having met Dennnis only once, recently,  I did enjoy our conversation. He certainly has a kind spirit and I believe his heart was in the right place. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Dennis many, many years ago at Charles Toyota Oldsmobile Cadillac. He only stayed with us for maybe a month and went back to Mallon Chevrolet. During that short time we became very good friends. I would see him often and he would sing for me. I just loved his voice. I was sad to see that Dennis has passed. I have known Dennis since the 60s. I stopped and chatted with him many times at Mallons and M J Sullivan Chevrolet. Dennis always had a wonderful smile and a warm hand shake. Rest In Peace my old friend.

I attended school with Dennis Perry at both Stanton and NFA. He was a kind, gentle, handsome and respected classmate and friend. I think Dennis knew all 730 graduates from NFA's Class of '65 and I don't believe he ever forgot a name or face. This morning his classmates and friends came out in great numbers to honor his memory and pay respects to his family.  His lovely daughter eulogized him beautifully and classmates and friends told wonderful stories. He left such an incredible legacy of love and respect. My sincere condolences to his family, you are in my prayers.  Godspeed Dennis.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dennis. We were classmates in grammar school and at NFA. I remember him as one of the warmest,friendliest human beings I have known. Over the years my family and I purchased several vehicles from him and it was such a pleasure doing business with a true professional gentleman and friend. No matter how long 
It had been since we had seen each other he always flashed that fantastic smile and shake my hand firmly but somehow gently,warmly greeting you while inquiring about you and your family.

I was privileged to work with Dennis in a band called Summer Breeze. His infectious smile and his satin voice gave the group a sound foundation and incredible following. My sincere condolences to the entire Perry family. Dennis will be missed.

I was saddened and shocked to hear of Dennis' passing.  I had just bumped into him 3 or 4 weeks ago.  He looked terrific and was his usual upbeat self.  I have known Dennis going all the way back to NFA days. Whenever I crossed paths with him over the years he always brought a smile to my face. Enjoyed many occasions of listening to him singing. My heart hurts that I didn't get the chance to know my cuz Denny in his adult life. When we were children my mom Sally who was uncle Aville's sister and my dad Manny would go visit. I remember my brother Boy and sister Muz and I spending the night numerous times at Uncle Aville and Aunty Della's house. Denny was so cool and handsome by the way for a cousin.  His sister Diane and I got into so much trouble because we drew pictures on the the bedroom wall w/crayons. I know this doesn't have any significance to the loss of my cuz, just wanted to share what I could remember and wish we lived closer to each other in our adult life. I missed so much. What I'm trying to say is, don't put off to tomorrow what you can do today. I grieve for his loved ones deeply and the many friends he met along the way. Kristina I was so touched by your words and called my sister to share this. We both wept for your sorrow. He's no longer in pain and is playing songs to his heavenly father. My grief will lessen knowing that I have someone else in the heavens that loves me and we will meet again. So sorry to hear of Dennis passing. He was one of the "good guys" as a salesman at Mallon's. He never tried to just seal a deal, but took pride in treating his customers as friends. My dad, Bob Smith enjoyed working with him for many good years. After dad retired, I knew I could trust buying a car from Dennis, which I did many times. I know he and dad are now enjoying some laughs and songs together in their next journey. Hugs to his family.

I recently saw him at Backus Hospital and after a grand hug we stood and talked in the hallway for a very long time. My husband played football with him for 4 years at NFA, and that sealed their lifelong friendship!  I also met Dennis in the first year of high school before I moved to Michigan.  He truly was one of the Kindest, warmest sweetest, loyal and loving people we have Ever met!  "In The Still Of The Night" will play forever in our hearts as His truly beautiful velvet voice sings it.
Our car is still one of the best cars we've ever had, and Dennis was amazing at getting us the very best price!
He will be deeply missed by us and so many others, and our hearts go out to you all at this very, very sad time!  We just saw him 3 weeks ago and made plans to get together.  Now, that get together will have to take place in Heaven when we all reunite again!

I'm really saddened to hear of Dennis's passing.  I've had a few encounters with Dennis is my lifetime that are truly memorable.  When I was about 5 my parents were having new windows installed.  Dennis was their salesperson.  He was amusing me and had asked me what my favorite song was.  I told him that it was Always by Atlantic Star.  Dennis then started singing, he sang the entire song to me!  I grew up with this memory and couldn't help of thinking about him whenever I heard that song.  Fast forward about 20 years and I found myself sitting across a desk from Dennis when I went to buy a car at Don Mallon.  I had asked him if you any chance he used to sell windows.  Wouldn't you know it...Dennis not only remembered, but he started singing that very same song in the middle of the delearship!  Dennis had such a personality that he could light up any room!  My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time.

I would like the family of Dennis to know he will truly be missed.  He was a wonderful, warm loving person.  He always greeted you with his great smile.  I graduated with Dennis and used to run into him a lot when he was singing.  I was hoping to see him at our recent reunion, but possibly he was sick. My sincerest condolence to his family.

Yes, Dennis was a extrodanary singer, and boy did he have a following. Always surrounded himself with only the best musisians. He had a special spirit, where everybody loved him and loved being around him. He knew how to make you feel loved and cared for. Dennis; you had more friends to make and more hands to shake. It is with a very sad heart that I write this in the guest book for Dennis. Dennis and I were life long friends and knew each other since pre kindergarten. Even though our lives went in different directions occasionally we would bump into each other and it was as though we had just seen each other the week before. We would hug and chat and always be so happy to see each other. He was a very special person to all that knew him and he will be so missed by all.
