Dawn M Hawthorne

She was born in Cape Cod, MA on June 26, 1965 to John and Marsha (Riley) Menghi. She worked throughout her life as a caregiver to others in various healthcare venues. On Sept. 19, 1998 she married her beloved husband Pete in Salem, CT.

Dawn was an outside girl loving to garden, hike, kayak and be at the beach. She truly had a green thumb as was evident around her home. She was always available to others and truly caring as she became known as “the community mom”. Her favorite times were with her family and her pets.

She is survived by her mother, Marsha, her husband, Pete, son; T.J. Falvey, daughters; Nicole Knight and Brittany Falvey, brothers; Michael and Louie Menghi, sister; Robin Miller, grandson; Nate, nephews; William & John Miller, pets; Ike her “furry son”, Bo-Bo, and her grand-dog Josie. She was predeceased by her father, John Menghi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th from 7pm-9pm at the Montville Funeral home of Church & Allen, 53 Norwich-New London Tnpk., Uncasville, CT. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
