Darrell R. Wilson

Darrell worked at United Nuclear in Uncasville until it closed and then partnered to open A1 Lawncare and Maintenance, which he operated for nearly 20-years. Upon deciding to close that business, he became the facilities manager for the Mystic Aquarium.

Darrell was a hard-working man, who loved animals and being outdoors in nature. Known as a kind man, he always learned your name and treated people with respect. Although an adventurous spirit, who lived life on his own terms, he will be remembered by many as a strong and supportive father figure.

He is survived by his loving wife Lesley Ingves of Oakdale, son Nicholas Wilson and his wife Ashley and grandson Dominic Wilson of Oakdale, and stepdaughter Rochelle Brisson of Bozrah. He also leaves behind his brother Glen Wilson and wife Donna of Oakdale, sister Danielle Longton and her husband Tim of Oakdale, and sister Colette Currier and her husband Bob of Waterford. Along with 11 adored nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his sister Karen Wilson, his father Charles Wilson and mother Andree (Munari) Wilson.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
