Patricia Mercedes Heffernan

Patricia Mercedes (Swarbrick) Heffernan formerly of Granada Hills, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023 at the age of 94. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she grew up riding horses and picking potatoes. Patricia was the youngest of seven children raised by Clara and Edward Swarbrick. Patricia was a graduate of St. Patrick’s School of Nursing, in Missoula, Montana and was a proud Registered Nurse, although retired, until the very end. By far, family was the most important aspect of her life; she loved her husband, children and their spouses, grandchildren and extended family above all else.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Heffernan. She is survived by her devoted & loving children, Brian Heffernan (Jennifer) of Torrance, CA; and Michele Heffernan (Christopher Corcoran) of Waltham, MA.; her five cherished grandchildren; Clara and Brendan Corcoran and Emma, Sean and Matthew Heffernan and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Patricia will be held Tuesday, April 18, from 4-7 p.m. at Bastian and Perrott, Oswald Mortuary, 18728 Parthenia Street, Northridge, California 91324. The Rosary will take place at 6 p.m. The Funeral Service will occur Wednesday April 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. 18405 Superior St. Northridge, California 91325. Burial at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth will immediately follow.
