She was employed for 24 years at The Westervelt Company. Teresa was known as an influential member of the Westervelt team. She was part of a Prayer Warrior group and sent encouragement to her co-workers through daily devotionals.
She also was very proud of her country and the USA Military. She corresponded with World War II Veterans aboard the USS New Orleans Heavy Cruiser through “The Pelican Newsletter” each month.
To her family, coworkers, and friends, Teresa was a breath of fresh air. She was known as a rock, problem solver, and a loving shoulder to lean on. She had a servant’s heart and continuously put others’ needs before her own, living out Matthew 11:28 “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Others can’t say enough about how caring, supportive, and Christ-like she was.
Teresa was a breath of fresh air. Her humor always brought joy to our hearts. She was always there for others meeting their needs and making them feel part of the group. She was blessed beyond measure in the accomplishments her children and grandchildren made. She was always there to support them and let them know how much she loved them. She truly lived her life for others.
She enjoyed planting flowers, household projects, Root Beer Floats, and playing cards and board games with the kids. She was referred to as the “Master of Monopoly.” Her favorite time of year was Christmas with the family which she prepared for year-round. She was really great at keeping Christmas’ magic alive. We will all miss her greatly and will forever remember what a blessing she was.
