Rufus Wayne Evans

Rufus Wayne Evans, age 79, of Lillian, Alabama passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Mr. Evans was born March 20, 1944 to the late Clifton Byron and Martha Eloise Evans. He is also preceded in death by his brothers; Donald Evans, John Evans, Byron Evans, Paul Evans, Jeff Evan and Tracy Evans; sister, Patricia Evans and Virginia Ruiz.

Mr. Evans is survived by his wife Mary Evans; children, Barry Evans (Dallas) pf Phoenix, AZ and Erika Bolton (Jeremy) of Elmore, Al; grandchildren, Brandy Harkey, Hannah Evans and Blakeley Bolton; great grandchildren, Jase Harky and Sam Harkey; sister, Sondra Clark (Donald), Nadine Estes (Ron)and brother, Barry Evans; special Niece, Tonya Kent, best friend, Lars Kent and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wayne loved The Lord above all else, he loved his family, playing music and he loved being on the water.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 7:00 PM. Bro. Tim Carter officiating
