Rachel Dearman

Rachel Dearman, 83, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on May 30, 2024 after a brief battle with infection. Rachel was born May 15, 1941, to Ervin Eugene Smith and Nadine Virginia Smith. A Graveside service will be held Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Sunset Memorial Park Northport, Al.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Dearman; sons, Robert and Billy Dearman; grandchildren, Brandi Dearman and Heather Dearman; sister, Wilidean Smith and brothers, George Smith, Gene Smith, and Randy Smith. She is survived by her children, Joey Dearman and Vickie Lake; sister, Virginia Hunnicutt; brother, Charlie Smith and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rachel married the love of her life, Joe Dearman, on December 4, 1959. Rachel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She lived for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by her family and all that knew her, but will be welcomed by loved ones lost.

The family would like to thank Mike and Cissy for being great friends and caregivers to our mom and also to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, Kim, Tracy, Elizabeth, and Chaplin Dave and the CNA that helped with mom.
